MIKE PAIGE STUDIOS
MIKE PAIGE
Mike specializes in handmade wooden ornaments and jewelry. Any cutting, shaping, sanding, carving or burning is all done by hand. He's best known for his pet portraits and town signs, but Mike loves taking on new projects. Portraits, cars, animals, houses...if you've got a challenge for him, he's up for it!
Mike is a firm believer that souvenirs should be locally made. He uses locally sourced Salem wood whenever possible. He is currently working through a large amount of birch acquired from the local DPW that was doing roadside maintenance. Earrings come in a variety of woods, some local and some exotic.
Mike studied art at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and The Pennsylvania State University. He has had the honor of being guided along the way by Jim Sebring (master carver), Jody Sebring (master carver), Camilo Pardo (designer of the Ford GT), Glen Weisgerber, and Chris Garver, to name a few.
Mike can be found at local art markets and craft shows throughout the year, and is a regular at Haunted Happenings, Salem Arts Fest, and Medfield's Holiday Stroll.
